Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Brandon Williams and Dominic Carr Lead Lanham Christian to Victory

On Friday, the Lanham Christian Lions earned a 57-45 win over the Loyola Blakefield Dons. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

Leading Lanham Christian to victory were Dominic Carr and Brandon Williams. Carr dropped a double-double on 19 points and 17 rebounds, while Williams almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards. Williams is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jamar Payen, who posted seven points and seven rebounds.

Lanham Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 25 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 25 offensive boards in three consecutive matches.

Despite the loss, Loyola Blakefield still got an impressive performance from Mason Ellison, who had 18 points. Terry Brooks was another key player, putting up six points.

Lanham Christian's record is now 2-4. As for Loyola Blakefield, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4.

Lanham Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 66-45 victory against Sandy Spring Friends on the 14th. As for Loyola Blakefield, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 86-43 win against KIPP College Prep on the 14th.
