Even though the Hamlin Pied Pipers have not done well against the Anson Tigers recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Hamlin skirted past the Tigers 49-47. The win made it back-to-back wins for Hamlin.
Leading Hamlin to victory were Luke White and AJ Rivera. White scored 13 points, while Rivera scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Ian Gruben, who scored 11 points.
Hamlin's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-19. As for Anson, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-12.
Hamlin will face off against the Loboes at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Anson, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Lions at 7:45 p.m.
