The Sierra Vista Mountain Lions entered their tilt with the Cimarron-Memorial Spartans with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. Sierra Vista managed a 48-44 win over Cimarron-Memorial on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Sierra Vista also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Sierra Vista found their leader in underclassman Donnayja Gibson, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 19 rebounds. Gibson has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 12 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Jaya Duckworth, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Sierra Vista has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. As for Cimarron-Memorial, their loss dropped their record down to 16-6.
Sierra Vista didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 53-31 win vs. Silverado on the 8th. Cimarron-Memorial has also already played their next match, a 69-38 win against Del Sol on the 10th.
