Meanwhile, Warsaw came tearing into Thursday's contest with seven straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Minutemen.
Warsaw got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. The final score came out to 30-28, 25-15, 25-16.
Northridge better keep an eye on Olivia Rooney. She was instrumental in Warsaw's win, getting 11 digs and three aces. That's the most aces Rooney has posted since back in September. Cassandra Jackson also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.
Warsaw was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in four consecutive matchups.
Northridge's defeat dropped their record down to 22-9. As for Warsaw, their record now sits at 26-4.
