Flagstaff is 8-2 against Prescott since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Badgers at 3:45 p.m. Flagstaff is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.1 runs per game this season.
Flagstaff is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering ALA - Queen Creek just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 4-3.
Teyan Clerry was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one stolen base. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.
Meanwhile, Prescott waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Volunteers.
Matthew 'Matt' Hepperle and Kaden Lampe were major factors while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Hepperle struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. Meanwhile, Lampe pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. At bat, Hepperle went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI, while Lampe went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was William Horn, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Another was Nick Martin, who went 2-for-3 with one run.
Flagstaff's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6-1. As for Prescott, their victory bumped their record up to 14-7.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Flagstaff hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .419. However, it's not like Prescott struggles in that department as they've averaged .354. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Flagstaff skirted past Prescott 7-6 in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Badgers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
