After a string of four wins, the Legacy Christian Academy Knights's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They were dealt a 76-41 defeat at the hands of Waynesville. Legacy Christian Academy has not had much luck with Waynesville recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Legacy Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ali Solomon, who scored 11 points along with two blocks. Another player making a difference was Autumn Allport, who scored ten points.
Legacy Christian Academy's defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 17-3. As for Waynesville, they pushed their record up to 22-0 with that win, which was their tenth straight on the road.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Legacy Christian Academy has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Southeastern Local at 7:00 p.m. on February 8th. Hopefully Legacy Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Monday. As for Waynesville, they will be playing at home against Ross at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Waynesville has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
