Colusa is a perfect 10-0 against Pierce since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The RedHawks will welcome the Bears at 4:00 p.m. Colusa is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.

Woodland Christian hit Colusa with a seven-run sixth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The RedHawks fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 7-6.

Ava Garcia was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Elli Santana made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs. Another player making a difference was Braelyn Santana, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run.

Meanwhile, Pierce was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Colusa, falling 16-4.

Pierce saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rylie Delepierre, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Colusa's defeat dropped their record down to 18-7. As for Pierce, their loss dropped their record down to 6-14.

Colusa took their win against Pierce in their previous meeting on Tuesday by a conclusive 16-4 score. Do the RedHawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
