Napa was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight  loss. They lost  3-0 to the Petaluma Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  3-0  back in September.
 Napa took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-6,  25-16.
 Leading Petaluma to victory were  Emma Schwappach and  Vivian Phan.  Schwappach  had nine  digs and three  aces, while  Phan  had 13 assists and three  digs. Those  13  assists gave  Phan a new career-high.  Mischa Pendleton also deserves some recognition as  she  had her first  block of the season.
Napa's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Petaluma, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record  this season.
