Milford and Anderson are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2015, but not for long. The Eagles will take on the Raptors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Milford has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with three straight losses, while Anderson will come in with five straight wins.
Milford had taken West Clermont down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The match between the Eagles and the Wolves didn't end well, with the Eagles falling 35-21.
Despite their defeat, Milford saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Joey Dahmer, who picked up 139 receiving yards and a pair of TDs, was perhaps the best of all. Dahmer got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 80 yards. Jayden Bodley was another key passer, throwing for 240 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Anderson made easy work of Kings on Friday and carried off a 49-24 victory. Fans of the Raptors have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.
Anderson's win came from a few key players Milford will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Owen Scalf, who threw for 413 yards and seven TDs while picking up 11.2 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 43 yards. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 3.6 passing touchdowns per game. Tegan Jallick was in the mix too, providing Anderson with two scores.
Anderson's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. Antwoine Higgins Jr. refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself. Anderson got some further help from Higgins Jr.: he picked up 1.5 sacks, made eight total tackles, and defended one pass.
Anderson's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Milford, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
Milford was taken down by Anderson 57-6 in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. Thankfully for the Eagles, Justice Burnam (who threw for 237 yards and five touchdowns, and also rushed for 64 yards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
