Mountain Valley recap Oct. 9, 2012
Rim of the World extended the longest winning streak in Mountain Valley this week by beating Notre Dame, 69-20. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
Banning moved up to 304 from 370 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Broncos climbed the ranks as a result of a 35-26 win over Jurupa Hills.
The Titans' dynamic duo of Paul Bradvica and Anthony McMaster proved tough for Rim of the World to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Bradvica threw for 283 yards and three touchdowns and McMaster had 149 yards receiving. Jonathan Kemp helped Notre Dame's passing attack out by catching two balls for 46 yards.
Jacob Taylor was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 327 yards on 16 carries as Bob Gradillas' team fell to Bob Gradillas' team. Teammate Christian Smith added to the ground attack by rushing for 98 yards.
Peter McGowan's team's Bradvica and McMaster have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Mountain Valley in both passing and receiving yards. Bradvica has thrown for 1347 yards this season, while McMaster, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 20 catches for 368 yards. Taylor from the Fighting Scots leads the league in rushing with 1551 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Rubidoux takes on Banning. The Falcons are currently in second, while John Stockham's team is in third.
Rim of the World took down the Titans 69-20 last week, the largest margin of any game. Taylor caught one passes for 14 yards in the win.
