The Ganado Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Palacios, falling 63-20. Ganado has not had much luck with Palacios recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Trinity Mayfield was Ganado's leading scorer, having posted seven points.
Zoey Ybarra held things down on the boards with seven rebounds. She took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.
Ganado has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season. As for Palacios, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-7.
Ganado is on the road again on Friday and play against Danbury at 10:30 a.m. on December 29, 2023. Danbury has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 17. Palacios will finish 2023 at home by hosting McMullen County at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. McMullen County is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
