Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the McAllen Memorial Mustangs, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They fell just short of Harlingen South by a score of 10-7.
Among those leading the charge was David Sanchez, who rushed for 93 yards and a touchdown.
McAllen Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Harlingen South, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-3.
McAllen Memorial does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Harlingen South will square off against Victoria West at TBD on Friday.
