Robertson County hasn't had much luck against Harrison County recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Black Devils will welcome the Thorobreds/Fillies at 5:30 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
Robertson County will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run last Monday, then bounced right back against Augusta on Tuesday. The Black Devils put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 17-2 victory.
Meanwhile, Harrison County put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their undefeated season alive. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Nicholas County a 16-0 shutout. Considering the Thorobreds/Fillies have won three contests by more than 13 runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Shyanne Ross made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. Ross was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in June of 2025.
In other batting news, Harrison County let Isabella Persinger and Aleigha Newby run wild. Persinger went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and four RBI, while Newby went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most hits Persinger has posted since back in March of 2025. Another player making a difference was Lexie Highlander, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Harrison County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .619. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Robertson County's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Harrison County, their victory bumped their record up to 8-0-1.
