The Unioto Shermans won the last time they faced the Alexander Spartans, and things went their way on Thursday too. Unioto took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 65-23 victory over Alexander. That 65-23 margin sets a new team best for Unioto this season.
Unioto's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zeke Schobelock, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds. Schobelock continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Blake Fitch was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with eight assists and four steals.
The victory got Unioto back to even at 4-4. As for Alexander, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Unioto will finish 2023 at home by hosting Washington at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Alexander, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome West Muskingum at 5:15 p.m. on December 30th. West Muskingum is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
