If Wakulla Christian School was looking for revenge after losing 56-48 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Wakulla Christian School's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hunter Bourgeois, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds. Langston Stephens was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Wewahitchka's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kaden Brooks, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Drake McGlon, who scored 12 points.
Wakulla Christian School dropped their record down to 0-14 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Wewahitchka, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-12.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wakulla Christian School and the Chargers will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Wewahitchka, they will head out on the road to challenge the Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Florida (Vernon is ranked 738th, while the Gators are ranked 757th).
