Blythewood's loss came about despite a quality game from Kishan Chung, who scored 21 points along with four steals. Chung set a new season high mark in points with 21. Austin Coker was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to White Knoll, who are still winless after their sixth contest. They took a 56-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Denmark-Olar on Friday. While losing is never fun, White Knoll can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 246th, while Denmark-Olar is ranked 104th).
Blythewood's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for White Knoll, they bumped their record down to 0-6 with that loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Blythewood took their win against White Knoll in their previous matchup back in January by a conclusive 70-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for Blythewood since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
