Hersey won the last time they faced Elk Grove and things went their way on Thursday too. The Hersey Huskies simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Elk Grove Grenadiers 51-20. The Huskies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 25 points or more this season.

Hersey has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.0 points per game. As for Elk Grove, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-20.

Hersey and Elk Grove could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Hersey will square off against Waubonsie Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday down 73 places (80 vs. 7). Similarly, Elk Grove (ranked 531st) will meet Rolling Meadows (ranked 76th) at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
