Starr's Mill came tearing into Monday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Jonesboro Cardinals 59-35. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Starr's Mill's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lindsey Kopacek, who went 5 for 10 on her way to 12 points and eight rebounds. Kopacek is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 45% in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Aftyn Heiden, who posted eight points and seven steals.

Starr's Mill smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in eight consecutive games.

Starr's Mill's win bumped their record up to 21-5. As for Jonesboro, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-15.

Coming up, Starr's Mill will take on Griffin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Griffin will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Starr's Mill surely won't give up without a fight. Jonesboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
