They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over the Eagleton College & Career Academy Royals. Jade Hubbard was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off nine hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 21 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That double was her first of the season.
Hubbard wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Lily Koelzer, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.
