The Tuloso-Midway Warriors waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 65-58 win over Alice. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, Alice saw an underclassman step up: Dylan Rivera scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rivera has scored all season. Alejandro Asevedo was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Tuloso-Midway has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-14 record this season. As for Alice, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-9.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Calallen the next time they take the court. Alice will head out to face Calallen at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Tuloso-Midway will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
