Cape Henry Collegiate has gone a perfect 8-0 against Hampton Roads Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Dolphins will challenge the Navigators at 4:00 p.m. Cape Henry Collegiate will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
On Thursday, Cape Henry Collegiate beat Nansemond-Suffolk Academy 7-3.
Noah Hummel looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Reid Downs, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Martinez, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Meanwhile, it may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Hampton Roads Academy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They put the hurt on Catholic with a sharp 12-6 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Navigators as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Graham Hutchens was incredible, getting on base in five of his six plate appearances with four runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Hampton Roads Academy's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 5-2 (and 1-7 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Tyler Motley, who went 3-for-6 with four RBI, one run, and one double.
Cape Henry Collegiate pushed their record up to 12-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Hampton Roads Academy, their record now sits at 6-9.
Cape Henry Collegiate took their win against Hampton Roads Academy in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 15-5 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Dolphins since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
