Summit gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They walked away with a 36-26 win over the Sprague Olympians. That's more bragging rights for the Storm, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

When it comes to explaining why Sprague lost, don't look at Carter Lovell. Despite the final result, he threw for 268 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 42 yards and one touchdown. Lovell didn't just play on offense: he also made three total tackles and defended one pass. Another player making a difference was Max Makarenko, who picked up 120 receiving yards and one score.

Looking ahead, Summit will take on Roseburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sprague, they will challenge West Salem at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Olympians their first taste of in-conference action this season.
