The Lake Wales Highlanders scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They blew past IMG Academy Black 73-48. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Lake Wales has managed all season.
Gary Love continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Jeremy Willingham, who scored 15 points along with three steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Lake Wales and bumps their season record up to 2-4. As for IMG Academy Black, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Wales will square off against Ribault at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for IMG Academy Black, they will head out on the road to face off against Parrish Community at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Parrish Community focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Tuesday.
