On West Valley's side, Kayla Anthony made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-3. Anthony hasn't dropped below two stolen bases for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Makayla Anderson, who went 1-for-3 with a home run.
Even though they lost, West Valley lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Lathrop has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 games, which provided a massive bump to their 12-8-1 record this season. As for West Valley, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-5-1.
