The Lafayette Hornets waltzed into Tuesday's match with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 60-47 victory over Dixie County. With that win, Lafayette brought their scoring average up to 52.2 points per game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lafayette to victory, but perhaps none more so than Amarie Fleming, who scored 20 points along with 8 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Trevor Mares, who scored 11 points along with 3 steals.
Lafayette's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Dixie County, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lafayette will take on Hamilton County at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Dixie County, they will be playing at home against Countryside Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Countryside Christian is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
