Bishop Dunne is 0-3 against Legacy Christian Academy since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Bishop Dunne Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the Legacy Christian Academy Eagles at 7:30 p.m.
Last Friday, things could have been worse for Bishop Dunne, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 54-38 loss to Grapevine Faith Christian. While losing is never fun, Bishop Dunne can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 791st, while Grapevine Faith Christian is ranked 366th).
Meanwhile, Legacy Christian Academy's six-game losing streak came to an end last Friday. They rang in the new year with a 51-42 victory over Grace Community. The win was just what Legacy Christian Academy needed coming off of a 57-27 defeat in their prior contest.
This is the second loss in a row for Bishop Dunne and nudges their season record down to 8-13. As for Legacy Christian Academy, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-14.
Bishop Dunne suffered a grim 90-66 defeat to Legacy Christian Academy when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Can Bishop Dunne avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
