Union Pines came out on top against Southern Lee on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive 13-run second inning. The Vikings never let the Cavaliers get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won ten matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Kaitlyn Blue looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 15 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Union Pines got a massive performance out of Kileigh Cameron, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Haven Patterson was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

Union Pines always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .750. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Union Pines pushed their record up to 14-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games.
