The Millikan Rams will be taking part in a tournament against the Leuzinger Olympians at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Millikan's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
Millikan saw some tournament action on Monday. They managed a 59-55 victory over Beverly Hills.

Millikan's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Joseph Wicker, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds, and Quali Giran, who shot 43% from the field on his way to 22 points. Giran's big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Hunt, who posted ten points in addition to five boards and three steals.
Millikan smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Leuzinger, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They walked away with an 81-71 win over Chino on Monday. The Olympians' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Leuzinger's win came from a few key players Millikan will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Dylan Curry, who went 6-for-10 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in field goal percentage (60%). Braylin Spencer was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds.
Leuzinger's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.4 points over those games. As for Millikan, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Millikan has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 27 boards per game. However, it's not like Leuzinger struggles in that department as they've been averaging 24.5 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Millikan skirted past Leuzinger 54-52 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Olympians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
