The Trico Pioneers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 64-34 loss at the hands of Sparta. Trico was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-9.
It was another big night for Damian Lanton, who scored 15 points for Sparta. Robert Greer was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Trico has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-18 record this season. As for Sparta, their victory bumped their record up to 13-8.
Trico will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Christopher at 6:00 p.m. As for Sparta, they will head out on the road to challenge Carlyle at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Carlyle will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
