The Anna Coyotes entered their tilt with the Aubrey Chaparrals with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Anna came out on top against Aubrey by a score of 66-55 on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Jacob Emmers went supernova for Anna, scoring 22 points. Brandon Webber was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with three steals.
Anna's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-12. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.5 points per game. As for Aubrey, their loss dropped their record down to 20-9.
Anna will head out on the road to take on Celina at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Aubrey, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Van Alstyne at 7:30 p.m. Van Alstyne will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 436th, while Aubrey is ranked 203rd).
