BOULDER, Mont. - The defense contributed on the scoring end for
Jefferson (Boulder, Mont.) on Saturday, totaling 12 points as the Panthers defeated
Plentywood (Mont.) 23-12.
After taking the lead on a field goal by
Jered Padmos in the second quarter, the Panthers led 10-0 at the half.
Jefferson grew its lead to 23 points entering the fourth quarter. JHS scored two times in the third, including once on a defensive touchdown.
With the win the Boulder school extended its winning streak to six games. Jefferson defeated Manhattan/Manhattan Christian 14-12 last week.
The Panthers went into the matchup giving up only 8.7 points per game.
The loss comes after Plentywood defeated Wolf Point/Lustre Christian 54-13 last week.
