South Grand Prairie has won four straight games at home, while Martin has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. South Grand Prairie will welcome Martin at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Tuesday, South Grand Prairie was able to grind out a solid victory over Grand Prairie, taking the game 3-1.
South Grand Prairie had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-12, 25-5, 25-13.

Raegen Richardson and Ryleigh Goss were among the main playmakers for South Grand Prairie as the former had 27 assists and 19 digs and the latter had 24 kills and five digs. Those 27 assists gave Richardson a new career-high. Jeidan Russell was another key player, getting 11 kills, seven digs, and two aces.
Meanwhile, Martin made easy work of Haltom on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 win.
Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Martin took every set by at least 16 points. The final score came out to 25-3, 25-9, 25-5.
South Grand Prairie better focus on containing Emma Nguyen and Kaitlyn Bush as the pair were huge in Martin's win. Nguyen had five digs and three aces, while Bush had 15 assists and six digs. Nguyen is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 16 or more in each of the last seven games she's played. Journey Barrrow also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.
South Grand Prairie's victory bumped their record up to 21-9. As for Martin, their win bumped their record up to 19-16.
