American Leadership Academy walked away with a 65-55 win over Maeser Prep Academy. That result was just more of the same for these two, as American Leadership Academy also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
American Leadership Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Grant Jackson led the charge by dropping a double-double on 21 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jackson has scored all season. Zachariah Swarnes was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 15 rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for American Leadership Academy and bumps their season record up to 7-10. As for Maeser Prep Academy, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.
American Leadership Academy will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Waterford at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Waterford is ranked 116th, while American Leadership Academy is ranked 117th). As for Maeser Prep Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Joseph at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Joseph is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
