AAA District 7 recap November 13, 2013
Oakland extended the longest winning streak in AAA District 7 this week by beating Wilson Central, 41-0. The win marks 11th in a row for the the Patriots.
Smyrna fell to Blackman 42-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Oakland's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Rhett Stacey threw for 136 and 2 touchdowns and Kyle Oliver had 59 yards receiving. On the ground Fredarius Wade contributed 209 yards. Emmanuel Smith helped Oakland's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 43 yards.
Wade was a passing and rushing force as Thomas McDaniel's team beat the Wildcats. Wade's favorite target this week was Oliver, who caught 3 passes for 59 yards.
Stacey put up the best numbers through the air as the Patriots topped Wilson Central.
On the heels of Matt Rodell and Ladarius Summers, the Bulldogs have had great success on offense. Rodell leads the league in passing with 1,117 yards, while Summers has rushed for 1,188 yards this season. Oakland's Oliver leads the league in receiving yards with 370 on 25 catches.
The most important game in the league this week will be the match up between the Patriots and Siegel. Oakland comes into the matchup ranked fifth in the state, while the Stars ranks seventh.
Riverdale made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 2,388 from 2,704.
