In what's become a running theme this season, the Willapa Valley Vikings gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They put the hurt on Mary M. Knight with a sharp 54-32 victory. That's two games straight that Willapa Valley has won by exactly 22 points.
Willapa Valley got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Addison Merkel out in front who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Merkel has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Rilyn Channell was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with two steals.
Willapa Valley's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 15-11. As for Mary M. Knight, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-8.
Willapa Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Mary M. Knight also has no future games currently scheduled.
