This season hasn't been kind to the Lake Blue Streaks, who are still winless after their seventh match. They took a hard 41-23 fall against Hoover on Friday. While losing is never fun, Lake can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 752nd, while Hoover is ranked 290th).
Hoover got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Hudson Pringle out in front who scored six points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Pringle has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Hunter Hershberger, who scored six points.
Lake's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-7. As for Hoover, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Lake will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Dover at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hoover will finish 2023 at home by hosting Chaney at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
