The Dysart Demons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 20 points or more this season. They took their match on the road on Thursday with ease, bagging a 86-42 win over Apache Junction. That 86-42 margin sets a new team best for Dysart this season.
Nigel Anderson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 16 points along with six assists and six rebounds. The match was his 13th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Zane Connelly, who scored 12 points along with four steals.
Dysart pushed their record up to 15-3 with that victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.7 points per game. As for Apache Junction, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.
Dysart is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Cortez at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. Cortez will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 179th, while Dysart is ranked 41st). Apache Junction and Vista Grande will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
