Bourbon County added to the longest winning streak in 3A District 5 this week by beating Bath County, 48-6. This was the team's ninth consecutive win.
Bourbon County took down the Wildcats 48-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Brent Holman ran for 193 yards in the win.
Powell County's dynamic duo of Matthew Brooks and Brett Goodwin proved to be unstoppable against Western Hills, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Brooks threw for 146 yards and 2 touchdowns and Goodwin had 114 yards receiving. Steven Skidmore helped Powell County's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 32 yards.
Terrell Roberts made the biggest impact on defense this week as John Hodge's team defeated Bath County. The 5-foot-8 junior recorded 2 fumbles.
Bourbon County's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Colonels feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Dalton Pope has thrown for 1,331 yards and 19 touchdowns this season, while Snoop Johnson has 24 catches for 602 yards.
