Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Friday. Oak Grove put the hurt on West Blocton with a sharp 11-0 victory. The result was nothing new for Oak Grove, who have now won 16 matches by six runs or more so far this season.
Not much got past Brody Black, who gave up just three hits and racked up 11 Ks to keep West Blocton off the board.
At the plate, Dalton Troncalli was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Wiley Hicks was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.
The win made it two in a row for Oak Grove and bumps their season record up to 26-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Satsuma, their record is now 22-10.
