Jack Wadlington was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with ten points and nine assists.
Broomfield was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They racked up seven more assists than Mead's also-impressive total of 12.
Mead's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Matthew Angelo, who went 7-for-15 to rack up 23 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Kyler Crump, who went 6-for-13 on his way to 14 points and three steals.
Broomfield's victory bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Mead, their loss dropped their record down to 13-9.
Looking ahead, Broomfield will venture away from home to take on Fairview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Broomfield knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight matches -- so hopefully Fairview likes a good challenge.
