Collinsville was outmatched by the Tigers at home and fell 60-26. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Collinsville has scored all season.
Loss or not, Collinsville got some senior leadership from Ella Guererro and Carsyn Moad. Guererro scored nine points, while Moad. scored 11 points.
Collinsville struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Collinsville has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record this season. As for Edwardsville, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Collinsville will take on the Orphans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Centralia presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Kahoks in Illinois (the Orphans are ranked 122nd, while the Kahoks are ranked 273rd). As for Edwardsville, they will be playing at home against the Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
