Two weeks ago, Brighter Horizons Academy had to suffer through a rough 73-31 loss at the hands of Grapevine Faith Christian. Brighter Horizons Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-16.
Meanwhile, Bishop Dunne lost to Grapevine Faith Christian at home by a decisive 54-38 margin on Friday. While losing is never fun, Bishop Dunne can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 789th, while Grapevine Faith Christian is ranked 349th).
Brighter Horizons Academy bumped their record down to 0-8 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points per game. As for Bishop Dunne, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-13.
Brighter Horizons Academy couldn't quite finish off Bishop Dunne in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 and fell 59-56. Can Brighter Horizons Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
