Sherrard won the last time they faced Mendota and things went their way on Saturday too. The Tigers walked away with a 2-0 win over the Trojans. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Sherrard easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-16.

Sherrard's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaeci Leffel, who had five aces and three assists. Those five aces gave Leffel a new career-high.

Leffel wasn't the only good server: Sherrard was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in three consecutive games.

Sherrard's victory bumped their record up to 4-0-1. As for Mendota, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Sherrard didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Hall on the 30th. As for Mendota, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Roanoke-Benson on the 30th.
