The Freedom Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Hylton 61-20 on the road. With Freedom ahead 31-10 at the half, the match was all but over already.
It was another big night for Savannah Price, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Angel Akinyemi was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with two steals.
Freedom is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Hylton, their loss dropped their record down to 3-14.
Freedom will be playing in front of their home fans against Osbourn Park at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Osbourn Park is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Hylton, they will head out on the road to square off against Charles J. Colgan at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Charles J. Colgan presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Hylton in Virginia (Charles J. Colgan is ranked 138th, while Hylton is ranked 355th).
