Make it five blowout wins for the Kapaun Mt. Carmel Crusaders this season. They blew past North 63-20 at home on Wednesday. Given Kapaun Mt. Carmel's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 118th, while the RedHawks are ranked 298th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lizzie Romer was her usual excellent self, scoring 17 points. Another player making a difference was Ellie Knipp, who scored ten points.
Kapaun Mt. Carmel has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for North, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.
Kapaun Mt. Carmel will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Pioneers at 6:00 p.m. West comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last 11 games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for North, they will head out on the road to challenge the Golden Buffalo at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Southeast focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five last Tuesday.
