The Salisbury Elk Lick Elks can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent game on Thursday. They blew past Ferndale 46-23. The victory was just what Salisbury Elk Lick needed coming off of a 57-37 loss in their prior contest.
Leading Salisbury Elk Lick to victory were Lance Jones and Drake Sellers. Jones scored nine points along with five assists and five rebounds, while Sellers dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kobe Broadwater, who scored three points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Despite the loss, Ferndale saw an underclassman step up: Chance Washington scored six points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. Connor Hrivnak was another key contributor, scoring two points along with two steals.
Salisbury Elk Lick is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Ferndale, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Salisbury Elk Lick will take on the Rams at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ferndale, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Hornets at 6:30 p.m. Hyndman Charter School is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
