Glenn hasn't had much luck against South Bend Saint Joseph recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Falcons will take on the Huskies at 10:00 a.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, Glenn beat Wheeler 7-3.

Brendin Hodges spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 11 Ks. He is becoming a predictor of Glenn's success: when he posts at least eight strikeouts the team is undefeated (and 9-12 when he doesn't).
On the hitting side, Mekhi Pulluaim and Leland Allison did most of the damage at the plate: Pulluaim went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Allison went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those two hits gave Allison a new career-high. Colin Hamel was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only South Bend Saint Joseph walked away with it. They never let the Eagles get on the board and left with an 8-0 win on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Huskies, who have now won 16 games by six runs or more so far this season.
Not much got past Jacob Snyder, who gave up just a hit and racked up eight Ks to keep Culver Academies off the board. Snyder has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Dallas Downey was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Joe Washburn, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Glenn has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for South Bend Saint Joseph, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 23-6.
Glenn suffered a grim 12-4 defeat to South Bend Saint Joseph in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
