The Mourning Sharks scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They walked away with a 75-63 victory over Goleman. The victory was some much needed relief for Mourning as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Mourning got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Junior Decarde out in front who scored 22 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Decarde has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alan Gomez, who scored 18 points.
Mourning's victory bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Goleman, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mourning will take on Hialeah at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hialeah presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Mourning in Florida (Hialeah is ranked 336th, while Mourning is ranked 680th). As for Goleman, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North Miami at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
