The St. Joseph Cadets will square off against the New Canaan Rams at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Both come into the  match bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
On Monday, St. Joseph was able to grind out a solid  win over McMahon, taking the game  3-1. The  victory continues a trend for the Cadets in their matchups with the Senators: they've now won three in a row.
 St. Joseph had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-17, 25-23,  25-18.

St. Joseph's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Sarah Lovett, who  had 20  kills, two  aces,  and one  block. Those  20  kills gave  Lovett a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Lilly Kugit, who  had 32 assists and two  aces.
 They weren't the only good servers: St. Joseph  was lethal from the service line and  finished the match with 13  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least five  aces in three consecutive  contests.
Westhill came into Friday's   matchup looking for another win against New Canaan, but  Mia Lockyer wouldn't allow it. The Rams blew past the Vikings 3-0 on Friday with plenty of help from  Lockyer, who  had 18  digs and two  aces. Lovett is also on a roll when it comes to  aces, as she's  now  served two or more in each of the last three games she's  played.
 While New Canaan might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Westhill scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-18,  25-18.
 New Canaan's victory bumped their record up to 12-2. As for St. Joseph,  the  win  got them back to even at 8-8.
