The Southwestern Spartans will be playing at home against the Morristown Yellow Jackets at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Thursday, Southwestern had to suffer through a rough 64-37 loss at the hands of Hauser. While losing is never fun, Southwestern can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 442nd, while Hauser is ranked 155th).
Meanwhile, Morristown's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their seventh straight loss. They took a hard 62-45 fall against Alexandria-Monroe.
Despite the loss, Morristown had strong showings from Kellen Crim, who scored 13 points along with four steals, and Mathew Carlton, who scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Carlton has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of William Snyder, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Southwestern's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Morristown, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-15.
